huge campground, clean basic facilities, drinking water and very nice people(didn't have toilet paper, got some from the commitee members)!
and all that for just 5$ per vehicle.

We love this place, as it offers excellent great value for your $$. Lovely and clean (no flies) good toilets and clean drinking water what more do you want. Huge area, offering plenty of space with lots of shade. The near by motorway would have to be the only down fall as the vehicle noise does travel. River is just up the road and has a great swimming hole even for kids.

Excellent camp site, lots of shade and very clean. This camp is close to the river and has a safe swimming hole. Good flush toilets and plenty of fresh drinking water. Only dislike is that its near the main road so vehicle noise spoils the setting a little as its a bit like being in a large forest area. But for only a few $$ its great value for money.

Great place to stop, New Zealand needs more overnight stops like this with close proximity to forest, bush and rivers. We have stopped there overnight on several occasions, great to see young families there camping with their children, enjoying nature and the countryside without having to break the bank.

This is a super camp site: large, flat with plenty of shade, fireplaces and the old forestry headquarters 1.5 kms further up the valley has blackberries and flawless apples in season. A protected swimming hole had been constructed in the river.
