Well worth the trip into Haldon Arm to stop overnight ( or longer)here at this campsite, Not cheap per night, but a unique spot with basic amenities at the top of Lake Benmore. There is a boat ramp as well as a very sturdy jetty, a fishing rod, a deck chair and a glass of wine, an excellent way for spend an afternoon watching the ducks dive for food and the fish jumping. Can be accessed from either the McKenzie Pass, Dog Kennel Corner - to/from Tekapo or the Hakataramea Pass. Road into Haldon Arm is sealed most of the way now, unsealed section quite corrugated.
