This is what NZ camping is all about! The stand in owner is one of the most friendly you'll ever come across, the site is very dog friendly, so please dog owners lets keep it that way and clean up after your dog :-), the showers were hot, clean and free, and the site is sheltered from the sea winds making it a little sun trap. Plus, plus it was cheaper for us to stay here than it was to put our cats in the cattery!

Minus points.....no shower curtain in the showers, makes your clothes all wet, and there are a number of permanent dwellers here who seem to think that the 10KPM limit does not apply to them. But don't let that stop you from coming here.

This is a definite. "I'll be back"!

Although a little tired

Although a little tired because of its age, the premises were kept clean and tidy, well mowed lawns and friendly manager. Where else in New Zealand could you pay $12 a night (for two people) for a powered site! One of the few motorcamps who, on request, allow for pets (always kept under control). Great fishing a stones throw away at Waitara Beach and a 5 minute bike ride to local township. 14 nights at $168.00 ... unheard of! Totally worth the visit/stay!
