Waipukurau Holiday Park

We've often passed by this campsite on the way north and never stopped but often wondered what it was like. Well now we know.
Unlike previous contributors I can't say my stop here was that enjoyable, quite the opposite.
On booking in we found the owner to be 'cool' to the point of disinterested.
I mentioned the NZMCA discount and it was like I'd asked for her bank account details. "We don't give discounts" was that answer.
The site kitchen was clean, if a little small for a site this size. The TV lounge (?) even smaller and it's just off the kitchen, so all the noise from that will drown out the TV. The toilets and showers were clean.
Internet (wifi) was an additional $2. Having paid $35 for just one night this felt like a gouge.
Like I said that the start we often wondered, well now we know.

This camp is excellent, the new owners/managers are absolutely awesome, very genuine people willing to go the extra mile for their customers. The camp is immaculate, the atmosphere welcoming.
Highly recommend a stay here.

New owners are great! Very clean and tidy this camp has had a lot of work done to it recently. Showers are hot with amazing pressure can't speak highly enough of this place and its owners. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable :)

A handy walk to town and reasonable cost. Facilities not kept very clean but overall OK.
