Rainbow Falls has everything I like in a waterfall. It’s natural, it’s high, good summer flow, beautiful, adventurous and uncommercialized. These falls are everything poor Haruru isn’t.

From the top platform you can capture the namesake rainbow if the sun’s right, and then it’s time to head down the track to the pool. Sitting on the bench and watching the flow…I know you’re curious about the cave behind the falls. Yup, get the water shoes…we’re going. It’s super slippery to get there, but hell yeah it’s totally worth it! A vast cavern of 100% green moss awaits. It’s a huge cavern—bring the Frisbee! To make a loop scurry/crawl/rock-hop around and out the other side of the cave. Go for a swim!

Formerly people could walk upstream 45-minutes from the Stone Store, but I don’t know if the bypass changed all that.
