Really nice camp with large

beatsmilking's picture

Really nice camp with large homely lounge area with open fire. Lots of little extras like books, dvds, table tennis etc show the managers have put some care into providing their guests with a comfortable stay.

Great camp pitty it rained

Gayzin's picture

Great camp pitty it rained the kids wanted to practice their softball because there is so much space out the back where we were parked.
Very tidy and super clean and fair price, was surprised there were so many BBQ's available and a fish filliting stand. The area where the smaller motorhomes parked were nice with plant borders.
Great showers and kids loved the table tennis in the lounge.

Good work Christine and Lance.

Dirty grubby little hole,

jhw's picture

Dirty grubby little hole, avoid it,. We stayed two nights, toilets never cleaned, foilage edging over paths, covering posts to Office making it difficult to find. Reception - lounge area dark & dingy. MHome park was either hard packed mud or grass. Wed rather stay anywhere else. Better than Ruataniwha holiday park, but not much.

Hi there We have just seen

CMG's picture

Hi there
We have just seen your comments and wish to advise that we have been Managers here since March 2011. The Park is now lovely. With great support from the owner we have new furnture in the Hall (Office area)& Improved lighting. Feedback is fantastic. A real social gathering area in the evenings with a welcoming fire burning.
Very good feedback in our visitors book in terms of grounds and cleanliness and our welcoming approach to all our guests.
Not sure where you are from but would welcome you back for a nights complimentary stay if you would like to contact us.
Regards
Christine & Lance

Thanks for your reply and

Thanks for your reply and offer. I have read other reports on the improvements the new owners are making and wish you the best in your endevours.
Unfortunately we live in the deep south so it may be a few years before we venture up your way again. If we return in the near future, we would like to look over the holiday park and view the changes you have made.
Regards....John

Thanks for your reply. We hope you make it back up here one day. Print out our offer and if you do get up here present it and we will honour it.
Just a shame we have to carry those original comments when we are getting rave reviews now in particular our Hospitality and our cleanliness.
Enjoy life in the far south. We lived in Hokitika for four years before venturing up here.
Take care and enjoy your next travels!!
