Alexandra Holiday Park

We stayed overnight at a powered site, we arrived after sunset and finding a site close to the only open communal kitchen & bathroom block was very hard as there wasn't much lighting. The playground that we found was very basic. Although the facilities were clean, we did not use the showers as the kids were scared in the gloomy room, and the kitchen had no cleaning supplies and was also a bit gloomy. There are apparently over 400 powered sites which would be well utilised in summer, but with that number of people I would hate to stay there. We would most probably not stay here again. The tariff is a little bit high for what we got, however it is a lovely spot by the river.

Good place to stay, close to town, plenty of room, mostly good facilities but Shower Block military in design and cleanout (firehose), slow at repairing obvious faults (noisy sewerage Pp) and wafting sewage fumes in our area of the camp.
