good, clean parking , good veiws no memberships discount until you stay 3 days which was very disappointing other camp sites in the area give discounts on first night. pity really for belt road.

Good location close to town,

We have stayed at this camp

We have stayed at this camp for years- even when we lived just up the road, and had a business from home. Before cell phones, was a way to get away from it. The site is just above the port, overlooking the sea - lots to look at ships coming and going, yachts and boats going out. Cafe on Wharf below. Walkway starts here, goes 7 km along the sea shore to Waiwhakaiho. Pro-active owners give good service, and continue to improve the camp. Has Motels, tourist flats, cabins, tent sites and caravan/motor home sites. All facilities open all year around, and kept clean. an all around great camp, can walk to city from it, along the walkway.
