run by the local council,

warp factor 0's picture

run by the local council, well done Carterton DC.

Reasonable cost, but showers are an extra dollar !!!! WTF.... that just has to be a council idea .... just add it to the overnight price will you .... seems penny pinching to the extreme.

Other than that a real nice site .... highly recommended

A great hidden gem. Pete and

A great hidden gem.
Pete and Di run a little ripper here.
Plenty of room with heaps of powered sites and a brilliant amenity block.
Clean and tidy.
Our caravan club uses this venue every year for our xmas party.
You will not be disappointed staying here.

Very pleasant motor camp,

Very pleasant motor camp, with good sized grounds and plenty of room in each powered spot. The facilities were clean, showers work on token - just beware when the token runs out (with no warning) you get no water at all. Good value - paid $14 for 1 person.

This would have to be my

Abs's picture

This would have to be my favorite place to stay in NZ

We stayed in the cabins and it was little things that stood out- Net curtains, matress covers..coathangers...

The factitlties are very clean and tidy, and include an outdoor area for eating.

The location is all over 1 min walk to the train station- thus a trip to Wellington is an excellent option

The host were simply lovely and made us feel very welcome
