amazing views today, this place is perfection on a calm sunny day. most days it will be windy, and in summer very popular so youll be hunting for a spot to squeeze into..but for free and close to Welly this is one of the best.

A great place to use as an overnighter on the way to catch the ferry. A quick easy drive to the wharf in the early hours! The only down side is that you need to think like a yachtie and park facing into the wind! It can get very very windy and a bit uncomfortable if side on. Also a good base for a trip into Wellington on the train. The station is an easy stroll across the playing fields.
