A terrific camp that provides

bentleycamper's picture

A terrific camp that provides so much – free kayaks, trampoline, outdoor chess, snakes and ladders, and there’s a great children’s playground just across the road. Also loved the walk up the hill to the giant sculptures. The grounds and the little beach are lovely and the views are stunning. We only had one quibble. The toilet/shower blocks were left uncleaned all day on the Sunday after a very busy Saturday. When we asked about it we were told it was because the two cleaners had to do all the vacated cabins first. Couldn’t understand why as most of them weren’t occupied the following night but the remaining paying customers had to put up with dirty facilities with no paper towels etc all day. We will definitely return to this great camp but hope the cleaning regime will be more sensible in future.

A Great camp that really has

beatsmilking's picture

A Great camp that really has put a lot of thought into creating a place that campers will enjoy. Apart from enjoying the camps beautiful location and scenery, the owners have provided a lot of fun entertainment - and a lot of that is free (kayaking, chip 'n putt, giant chess/snakes & ladders, library + more). The buildings around the office have been made to look like a 'Pioneer village' - and the TV room ('Moving Picture House') has cinema style seating - cute! If only all camps had their visitors interests at heart like these owners.
