Had trouble as phone no in

Coasties's picture

Had trouble as phone no in nzmc was different. Rang and were told they had room for our 10 m bus. On arrival very busy was shown two spots but unable to get bus on either with the camp layout so had to drive back to tapu. Very disappointed and certainly do not advise anyone with a bus this camp is not suitable even though it says it is. Did have a lovely week in Thames at the end of the day.

A gorgeous, tranquil spot

miggle's picture

A gorgeous, tranquil spot right beside a river that's perfect for a summer swim or just sit on a rock beside the water and contemplate the peaceful view. Clean, quiet campground with quirky artistic touches that made it extra attractive and helped us feel welcome. Yes, there's a fully equipped communal kitchen under an outdoor lean-to shelter, as well as a pizza oven and free gas barbeque. Great showers too!

It is a very quiet Campervan

sibifr's picture

It is a very quiet Campervan Park which is decorated with much love. It is located in the forest and next to a small river. Highlights of the Park are the swimming hole and the pizza oven. Dogs are allowed and the facilities are clean. The owners are a very friendly and helpful family. A very good place to stay.

Small camp hidden in the valley, surrounded by fern forest...

Couple of nooks with plugs for campervans electric, basic, but clean and well operating toilet facilities and hot shower (no coins needed). Ideal place to visit if you want to be away from huge holiday parks.

Despite of my late self check-in (manager was not already at the camp site), I've got access to all needed facilities. I am not sure, if there was a communal kitchen. Cheaper, but camp fully satisfying lonesome traveller! Morning registration with camp manager was not a problem, manager was friendly.
