The MotorCamps.Com Bus is supporting Team 'Sad Bastards' in their efforts to walk 100km in under 36hrs raising money for Oxfam.

6:00 am Team leaves from Kinloch whilst the motorcamps.com bus is still resting.
8:50 am Team arrives at checkpoint well before the estimated arrival of 9:15 am. Ooops support team not there to meet them in time, and the team continue onto the next leg.
11:25 am Team arrive at checkpoint 2. Support team redeem themselves with a great spread of food, coffee, music and massages.
12:30 am Quick pit stop for a water fill up at Wairakei Thermal Valley - many thanks. Support crew take tohe opportunity of a much needed feed in their cafe. Support team are realising theres not too much time to get between checkpoints and setup - certainly not the relaxing day we expected..
1:30 pm Arrive at checkpoint 3 start setting up.
2:10 pm The 'Sad Bastards' walking team arrive - now 1hr ahead of estimated time. The target of 24hr finish is looking well within their capabilities. Hopefully they don't pay for this initial speed later on. Not the most interesting section for the team - but they are holding up well. Two of the team members ARE carrying knives - but theyve not used them on each other just yet..
3:00 pm walking team leave Checkpoint 3
3:30 pm Support team arrive super early at Checkpoint 4 in Taupo. Time for some shopping therapy for the girls!
