Tapawera Settle

I'd have given this a 4 and a half stars if this website allowed half's. Reason being whilst this site isn't the flashest, or the most up to date, it is run by some of the nicest people and the facilities, which may be old, were more than functional.
The whole site has a feel of being old, but it's well located in Tapewera, close to the shop and pub, (and river for when it's hot). Also the showers are 'inclusive' which is something that's becoming more rare. Talking about the showers, they were hot, had sufficient hooks for clothes and towels; And were spacious enough to ensure your clothes and towels didn't get wet!
Also inclusive is the internet! No doubt because it's free it can slow to a crawl in the evening when all the backpackers log on to report home to Europe.
our site was very well shaded and super long.
And finally a truly dog friendly site (usual rules, clean up and control). None of this "we are dog friendly - when we haven't got anyone else staying, or out of season' BS. Proper welcoming to well behaved dogs - Thank you.
I will come back here.

nice quiet place.very friendly owner.she gave us even some christmas sweets when we arrived at the campsite.showers are spacious rooms. the looks of sanitair could be better but it's functional.
